Elders

 

Clark Boaz

Clark grew up in Fayetteville, TN.  He earned a B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee in Civil Engineering in 1984.  He has been an engineer with NASA at the Marshall Space Flight Center since 1989. 

Clark and his wife, DeeDee have been married for 31 years and are charter members of Grace Covenant.

Jared Nelson

Jared and his wife, Kasey, live in Arab with their three children (Peyton, Isaiah, and Adah).  Jared serves as a lay elder at Grace Covenant and works as a mechanical engineer for Gleason Research Associates.

Jared has attended Grace Covenant since 2009 and was ordained as an elder in 2016.  He currently leads the music ministry and shares in various preaching and teaching duties.

Deacons

David Hornbuckle

David and his wife, Daphney, live in Arab. David is an Alabama Homebuilder and has built custom homes for over 30 years. He also owns a custom cabinet shop in Arab.

David and Daphney are charter members of Grace Covenant. David oversees facility maintenance and security and is one of the church's trustees.

Thomas Kirkland

Being chosen by God before the foundation of world, Thomas was saved by grace through faith at the age of thirteen. He was married in 2001 to his bride Caroline and they have two daughters, Ava and Ella.

Thomas and his family have faithfully attended Grace Covenant since 2011, he and his wife became members in 2012. Thomas has served in the music team since 2012 and his wife serves as a Sunday School teacher.

Being nominated and examined by the Elders of the church, Thomas was affirmed by the congregational body as deacon in 2016.

Thomas has faithfully shown evidence of loving Christ and His bride as he serves her and seeks to glorify our Lord in using the gifts he has been given to this end.

Adam Nelson

Adam and his wife, Amber, make their home in Arab, where the Lord has blessed them with three children (Lane, Titus, and Hannah). He is a 2006 graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville (BSE, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering), and now works on Redstone Arsenal, as a senior analyst for Torch Technologies.

The Lord has called and equipped Adam to serve as one of Grace Covenant's deacons, where he is primarily responsible for maintaining church financial records and leading the audio/visual team.
