Jody Anderson - Pastor-Teacher

At age fourteen, Jody experienced the call of God's grace in his life toward salvation, but it wasn't until college that he, through a more serious study of God's word, felt the Lord leading him in the direction of ministry.

A few years after his marriage to his wife, Allison in 1996, Jody accepted the call to ministry and began to further his education as a means of preparing for a lifetime of pastoral leadership. He received his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary located near Memphis, Tennessee. His desire to pastor a church while pursuing his degree led him to Mid-America, where the Lord soon granted him the opportunity to be the pastor of Harmony Baptist Church in New Albany, Mississippi. He remained at New Albany for six years, at which point he felt the Lord directing him to a church plant in Arab, Alabama, where he and wife and four children moved in December of 2009.

It is our joy and the Lord's great provision that Jody is the pastor of Grace Covenant Baptist Church, serving our body faithfully as our shepherd and teacher.

Clark Boaz

Clark grew up in Fayetteville, TN.  He earned a B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee in Civil Engineering in 1984.  He has been an engineer with NASA at the Marshall Space Flight Center since 1989.

Clark and his wife, DeeDee have been married for 31 years and are charter members of Grace Covenant.

Jared Nelson

Jared began attending Grace Covenant in 2009 and was ordained as an elder in 2016.  Jared serves the church in various ways, including teaching the adult Sunday morning Bible study and leading the music ministry.  He describes his wife, Kasey, as the love of his life and his greatest earthly gift from the Lord.

Jared and Kasey have three children, each of whom is adopted.  The journey of adoption has been a great blessing to the Nelsons primarily because is serves to constantly draw them back to their adoption through Christ. For it is only through our adoption into God's family that we who were dead in our trespasses and sins can be made alive to God through the person and work of Jesus Christ.
